Job Description:

As a Pharmacist, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Final/clinical check of dispensed medications, check dosage and ensure that medicines are correctly labelled & supplied 
  • Advise patients on medication uses, side effect and recommend other medicinal products to complement their health.
  • Maintain quality presentation of premises, products and team 
  • Maintaining accurate records of all medication orders, refills, and inventories on hand 
  • Review over-the-counter (OTC) and medical prescriptions to ensure they are suitable for a patient
  • Work closely with Retail Manager to drive business and develop business strategies 
  • Manage, supervise and train pharmacy support staff 
  • Knowledge of Toniq Dispensary Software is preferred but not essential as full training can be given.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

Job Pre-requisites:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with 6+ month’s experience. Registered with the Pharmacy Council of NZ or working toward registration e.g. in period of supervised practice.
  • Have qualifications or working towards being accredited in ECP, MUR, TMP, CPAM’s and immunisations.

 

Minimum guaranteed hours of work: 40 hours per week

 

Days required:  Within store operating hours

Working Hours per week:  This is full time role of at least 40 hours per week and may include either a Saturday or a Sunday.

Hourly rate or salary band: $36-$45 NZD /hour depending on capacity and responsibilities
